MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Actor Enrique Gil has conveyed his admiration and backing for his longtime partner Liza Soberano, who has made her mark in Hollywood with her recent film “Lisa Frankenstein.”
Enrique Gil attended the Philippine premiere of the film yesterday, February 7, which took place several hours after its global premiere in Los Angeles, where Liza Soberano was present with the “Lisa Frankenstein” team.
Prior to the screening, Enrique expressed his happiness in supporting Liza, just as he always has, even when physically distant.
“I’m so happy, I just can’t believe it. We were just there in New Orleans shooting the film and just to be here at the premiere, it doesn’t feel real,” Enrique said.
“I’ve always been a supporter since Day 1. Sabi ko talaga, ‘Til the day I die, I will always support her’,” he added.
The actor even conveyed his hopes that “Lisa Frankenstein” will kick off Liza’s Hollywood career, “This is her dream! Whatever she wants to do in life, I’m all for it.”
Enrique is gearing up for his return to the big screen with the upcoming release of “I Am Not Big Bird.” He finds it coincidental that both his and Liza’s films are being released in the same month after not collaborating on a project for years.
Despite their busy schedules, he reached out to Liza, expressing hope for a meet-up during her brief visit to the country before she heads back to the United States for other commitments.
Enrique’s attendance at the premiere event comes amid ongoing rumors suggesting a possible split between him and Liza.
These speculations have gained traction, especially considering the confirmed breakups of other celebrity couples in 2024, such as Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones, as well as Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque.
