MANILA, PHILIPPINES — BGYO members admit to being fans of the South Korean pop group superstars BTS during their appearance on ‘Simply K-pop Con-Tour’ on Monday, May 2.

The group stated they are “a hundred percent” sure to work with the rising K-pop act if given an opportunity.

The South Korean music program was live-streamed on the Korean broadcaster Arirang’s Youtube Channel. The host of the streamed program, Lee Daehwi, asked the P-pop group’s members to name artists in the K-pop industry they would “like to work with in the future.”

Akira answered by choosing BTS as they are the ones they are looking up to when it comes to their efforts and passion for their work and craft. The other members then agree with Akira’s answer.

Member Mikki cites the international superstar group as one of their favorite artists as they listen to Korean pop songs every day. He also shared his favorite songs BTS’s Magic Shop, Love Yourself: Tear, and the Japanese release of their track Let Go.

In addition, their hit single “Black Swan” is Gelo’s best-loved track.

The P-pop group was not able to perform at the K-pop music show. However, they sang in acapella snippets from its 2021 debut song, “The Light,” and their latest track, “Best Time,” which garnered praise from the show’s host.

Alongside BGYO, the program also interviewed the members of Alpha PH, a local group known for posting K-pop dance covers on YouTube.

Recently, the group earned a Silver Play Button from YouTube for gaining more than 100,000 subscribers. Some of its videos, such as their dance covers of Twice’s “The Feels” and Lisa’s “Money,” have received more than a million views.
