Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild visited the Philippines on Monday, January 29 to “fulfill her duties,” Miss Universe Thailand announced.
“MABUHAY Philippines!” the pageant organization captioned in a post. “She [Porsild] will arrive in Manila on January 29, 2024, around 6:25 PM.”
Upon her arrival at the airport, she was greeted by her intimate friend and fellow pageant contestant, Miss Universe Philippines 2023, Michelle Dee.
Fans of the two beauty queens, affectionately dubbed “PorDee” on social media, enthusiastically cheered and presented gifts to their admired idols. Supporters waved banners and carried pieces of paper labeled as “Marriage Certificate.”
Anntonia donned a sleeveless black top and pants, while Michelle opted for an all-denim ensemble. They willingly took selfies with their fans, some of whom had patiently waited at the airport for over 12 hours.
“Looks like exciting things are in store for Miss Universe and #PorDee fans everywhere,” the caption reads.
Anntonia, who has Thai and Danish heritage, mentioned that this was her inaugural visit to the Philippines. She expressed anticipation, stating, “It’s going to be very exciting, and fans will appreciate what unfolds during this trip.”
“I’ve heard that the people here are very nice, the food is very good and the beaches are beautiful. I will definitely come back and visit the beaches,” the 27-year-old Anntonia said.
On the other hand, Michelle volunteered her commitment to ensuring that Anntonia experiences the delight of Filipino cuisine, specifically mentioning the popular dish adobo.
Porsild’s friendship with Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee blossomed during the Miss Universe 2023 competition in El Salvador. When questioned about the key to their connection, both beauty queens offered their individual responses.
” PorDee stands for unity. We’ve created a sisterhood,” Dee said.
“We’re both very true to who we are and that’s how we connected. We are friends with genuine authenticity,” Anntonia replied.
During her homecoming last year, Dee subtly suggested the possibility of collaborating on a future project with Porsild.
