PAGASA: Southwest Monsoon brings rain over Luzon

WEATHER UPDATE —  According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), a Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continues to bring rain over NCR; a low-pressure area (LPA) may also develop inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Ngayong araw, patuloy ang epekto ng Southwest Monsoon o Habagat sa Central Luzon and Southern Luzon. Magdadala ito ng maulap na kalangitan, may mga pagkalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm,” said weather specialist Aldczar D. Aurelio.

(Today, the effect of the Southwest Monsoon continues over Central Luzon and Southern Luzon. It will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains and thunderstorms.)

Bataan, Zambales, Metro Manila, Calabarzon and Mimaropa may expect the weather caused by the Habagat. Meanwhile, the remaining parts of Luzon may expect fair weather conditions and isolated rains due to thunderstorms.



For today’s weather forecast, Visayas and Mindanao are expected to have fair weather conditions with chances of isolated rain due to thunderstorms.

Except for Metro Manila, other major cities in the country, including Baguio, Legazpi, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao, may expect fair weather conditions for the next 3 days, with chances of isolated rain showers.

Residents of areas with moderate to, at times, heavy rains are advised to caution for possible flash floods or landslides.

Winds and coastal waters will be slight to moderate in Luzon, moving southwest to west, while the same with the rest of the country with winds moving South to Southwest.
