WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), no Low-Pressure Area (LPA) has been spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). However, two weather systems, namely the easterlies and shear line, bring rains over the country.
The weather agency reports no LPA currently being monitored. However, it still warns of at least two tropical storms entering the PAR within the month of December.
On the other hand, the shear line and easterlies bring high chances of rain to parts of the country, including Cagayan. The rest of the Philippines is forecast to have fair weather for the rest of the day, with chances of isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
WEATHER TODAY – DECEMBER 6, 2022
For today’s weather forecast, Cagayan is forecast to have cloudy skies with chances of rain. The rest of Luzon may experience fair weather conditions, with temperatures rising up to 30 to 33 degrees Celcius and as low as 23 to 25 degrees Celcius.
Visayas is forecast to have fair weather for the rest of the day, with chances of isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Temperatures may rise up to 31 to 32 degrees Celcius and as low as 25 to 26 degrees Celcius.
Mindanao is also forecast to have fair weather, with chances of isolated rain showers. Temperatures may rise up to 31 to 33 degrees Celcius and as low as 24 to 26 degrees Celcius.
Due to the Northeast Monsoon, a gale warning is still being issued to Batanes, the northern coast of Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands, and the northern coast of Ilocos Norte. Waves are forecast to reach from 2.8 to 4.5 meters.
