MANILA, Philippines – Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up, Venus Raj tied the knot with her non-showbiz fiance North Orillan on December 12, in an intimate ceremony at Pasig City.
On Instagram, wedding photographer Pat Dy shared photos of the newlyweds from their special day.
Venus wore a timeless white gown with a straight-across neckline designed by Francis Libiran, while North looked stylish in his light-colored suit paired with a bow tie.
A few hours before their wedding, Venus shared a sweet video of themselves and said,“Today is the day that the Lord has made.”
Meanwhile, Venus surprised her followers on Monday with their pre-nup photos captioning her experiences while waiting for the right time to love.
“For 8 years, God allowed me to be single. Since I have fully surrendered my life to Jesus, I have never entered into a romantic relationship. I asked Him to protect my heart and to keep it until the right man comes,” she said.
“God is indeed the giver of good gifts, He knows His timeline for my life, and the right time has finally come,” Venus added.
Venus also included a message for single people out there to pray for marriage and to be patient for the right time.
“If you are still single and praying to the Lord for marriage, please know that God hears your prayers and He knows the desires of your heart. The answer might be — wait, yes, or no, but one thing is for sure, He knows what’s best for you. Trust His process.” (heart emoji) as the caption says.
The newlywed Mrs. Orillan is known as the figure who started the Philippines’ 12-year semifinal streak at Miss Universe, which began in 2010 and extended through 2021. During this period, Bea Luigi Gomez secured a Top 5 placement. However, the streak was interrupted when Celeste Cortesi failed to secure a placement in the 2022 edition held in Louisiana.
