Solar Spikers first victory in PVL All-Filipino 

Solar Spikers post first victory in PVL All Filipino Conference

In the fourth set of the preliminary round of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference, which took place on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

This victory was Capital1’s first victory in the competition.Jorelle Singh, the team’s captain, led the Solar Spikers with 12 attacks and one block, and Patty Jane Orendain, the team’s second-place player, finished with nine points.

The Capital1 defeated Strong Group by a score of 25-18, 25-20, 19-25, and 25-20. 

Immediately following the match, which lasted for one hour and 57 minutes, Singh stated, “We anticipate performing even better in our upcoming games.”



The contributions of Arianne Layug and Janeca Janine Lana, each with eight points, and Katrina Dizon, with six points, who led in all scoring departments, spikes (52-48), blocks (7-3) and aces (5-4). They also scored 30 points off the Athletics’ unforced errors while conceding 28 miscues of their own.

Rica Jane Rivera and Mary Antonette Landicho came up with eleven and nine outstanding digs, respectively.

Roger Gorayeb, a seasoned coach, stated that the victory would enhance the spirit of Capital 1 heading into their upcoming games.

We are overjoyed because, as you are aware, this group has only been in this location for a little over two months. We go through a learning process every day, every practice, and every game. 



When he continued, “It is a time for us to get to know each other, whatever it is that we need to add.”

When it was all said and done, Mary Joy Onofre finished with nine spikes, two blocks, and one ace, and Dolly Grace Versoza contributed 11 points for Strong Group, which ended up losing their match.
