According to PAGASA, the country will experience cloudy skies with rains and thunderstorms caused by Easterlies and Northeast Monsoon today, February 12 (Monday).

The weather bureau forecasts cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Capiz, Aklan, Iloilo, Bicol Region, and Romblon according to its 4 a.m bulletin. PAGASA states that Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with light rains are also expected in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon caused by the northeast monsoon. However, this condition is not expected to create a significant impact in the said area. 

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by northeast monsoon. However, this condition is not expected to create a significant impact in the said area. 



The rest of the country will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms.

Furthermore, the risk of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms will continue to persist across the archipelago.

Meanwhile, PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast shows that theNorthern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the eastern section of Southern Luzon will experience moderate to strong northeast winds, causing moderate to rough coastal water conditions (2.5 to 4.0 meters).

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate northeast winds, leading to slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 2.5 meters).



People of the country are advised to remain vigilant in the surrounding area especially to those areas affected by Easterlies and Northeast Monsoon, everyone must prepare for evacuation when heavy rains occur.
