PAGASA: Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao affected by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ)

WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) wil be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Weather Today – September 22, 2023

MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains

Weather conditions for Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ/Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

According to PAGASA’s Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Condition, Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao,and the rest of Luzon have Light to Moderate wind speed directed to Southwest with only Luzon directed Northeast to Northwest. Coastal Water Condition will be Slight to Moderate / (0.6 to 1.5 meters).
