WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Southwest Monsoon affects Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated to be at 570 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (19.1°N, 127.0°E).
The Western part of Luzon will have light to moderate wind speeds directed from Southwest to South with slight to moderate coastal water conditions. As for the rest of the country, there will also be light to moderate wind speeds directed from Southwest to West with slight to moderate coastal water conditions

Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of the LPA impacting the areas with possible flooding or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.
With the Southwest Monsoon, Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Zambales, Bataan, and Quezon will also have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, possibly causing flooding or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.
As for Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be caused Southwest Monsoon / Localized Thunderstorms. Precaution is advised as possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Under present weather conditions, with Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA has issued General Flood Advisory for the following areas:
