WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Southwest Monsoon is affecting the country.

Weather Today – July 17, 2023

Zambales, Batan, and Occidental Mindoro will be experiencing occasional rains caused by Southwest Monsoon, impacting areas with possible flooding or landslides due to scattered to widespread showers.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of MIMAROPA, the rest of Central Luzon, and Western Visayas will be experiencing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by Southwest Monsoon, impacting areas with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Southwest Monsoon/Localized thunderstorms, also impacting areas with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.



Moreover, PAGASA released a general flood advisory for severe and moderate areas. The following are:

  • CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region)
  • Benguet
  • Ifugao
  • La Union
  • Pangasinan
  • Bataan
  • Zambales
  • Occidental Mindoro
  • Oriental Mindoro

Moderate

  • Surigao Del Sur
  • Agusan Del Sur
  • Davao Del Norte
  • Davao Oriental
  • Davao Del Sur
  • Davao De Oro
