WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Easterlies will affect the Visayas and eastern sections of Mindanao, causing the country to experience cloudy skies with thunderstorms and rain showers.

PAGASA has not issued any gale warnings or tropical cyclones since typhoon Mawar. Most of the country will be sunny, then experience heavy rain in the late afternoon or evening.

Weather Today – July 5, 2023

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies and localized thunderstorms from the surrounding areas. There will be the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in certain areas.

The wind and coastal conditions will be normal. The archipelago will experience light to moderate wind speeds from east to southeast. The coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate, which ranges from 0.6 to 1.5 meters of water height.

PAGASA has also issued general flood warnings in several areas.

The listed areas are:

  • Palawan
  • Zamboanga Del Norte
  • Zamboanga Del Sur
  • Zamboanga Sibugay

Listed areas may flood during severe and heavy rain, as PAGASA advises cautionary actions.
