MANILA, Philippines – Miss Universe Philippine 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Saturday evening, November 25, 2023 welcomed by Filipino fans wholeheartedly.
Michelle, who represented the Philippines in the 72nd Miss universe edition, was back in the country after months being away in preparation for the said pageant.
In her Instagram account, Michelle posted a photo at NAIA with a lot of fans welcoming her.
“Feels good to be back home. With or without the crown, all of you made me feel like I was a winner,” she wrote.
“Last night was so overwhelming! All I could feel was so much love and support from all of you,” “It was definitely not an easy road to get to this point but everything was well worth it! Madami pa tayo pagdadaanan and I can’t wait to bring you along the ride with me. Mahal na mahal ko kayo #FILIPINAS.” “Maraming Salamat. Sobrang nakakataba ng puso. I can’t wait to see you all soon at the parade!” she added.

Meanwhile, Michelle was also welcomed by her mom, Miss International 1979 titleholder Melanie Marquez.
Michelle made it into the semifinals but failed to secure a spot in the top 5.
Many Filipino still admire Michelle for putting so much effort in the pageant and giving them a good show filled with surprise.
The beauty queen also bagged 3 special awards which are the Fan Vote, Spirit of Carnival Award, and National Costume.
