In an incident during her “Celebration Tour” at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Madonna scolded a fan for sitting down during her performance before realizing the person was in a wheelchair.

The 65-year-old pop icon remarked on Thursday that the incident was captured in a TikTok video that circulated on social media, drawing criticism and demands for a proper apology.

The video shows Madonna calling out to the fan, asking, “What are you doing sitting down over there? What are you getting sitting down?”

However, upon stepping closer, the ‘Vogue’ singer quickly realized her mistake and apologized, saying, “Oh, OK. Politically incorrect. Sorry about that. I’m glad you are here.”

The TikTok clip gained significant traction, amassing over 2 million views and sparking viewer controversy.

Some users expressed disappointment in Madonna’s response, stating, “I feel like she should have refunded that person’s ticket,” and demanding, “She did not apologize enough.”

A user even commented, “That is a sad apology! What the heck? Refund them their ticket!!”

The incident has generated discussions about addressing such mistakes and sparked a call for Madonna to take corrective action for the concertgoers affected by the unintentional scolding.

The “Celebration Tour” commenced in October 2023 and is set to conclude on April 26 in Mexico City, according to reports from The New York Post.

Madonna’s concerts have been drawing attention not only for her performances but also for this recent incident that has prompted a mixed response from the public. The pop icon has yet to comment further on the matter.
