Philippine cinema saw a heartwarming display of support as Liza Soberano, fresh from her international engagements, organized a block screening for Enrique Gil’s much-anticipated comeback film, “I Am Not Big Bird.”
The special screening, held immediately upon Liza Soberano’s return to the Philippines, underscores between the two stars amidst their busy schedules and recent rumors regarding their relationship.
In a touching Instagram post dated March 5, Soberano, known for her role in the horror-comedy “Lisa Frankenstein,” shared her excitement and pride for Gil’s performance in the movie.
“Went straight to the theaters from the airport last night to watch I Am Not Big Bird. Congratulations [Enrique Gil]!! The movie had me crying from laughing so much!” she expressed, highlighting the comedy that Enrique Gil brings to the screen.
Liza Soberano could not attend the film’s initial special screening, which took place before its Valentine’s Day release. Understanding Liza’s commitments, Enrique expressed no disappointment at her absence.
“It’s fine, it’s fine. I’m gonna have another screening with her pagbalik niya,” he assured, reflecting the understanding and support that has been a hallmark of their relationship.
