In the wake of the celebrated actress Jaclyn Jose’s passing, actor Jake Ejercito has expressed a heartfelt tribute by sharing a screenshot of a message from Jaclyn Jose.

Jaclyn expressed her affection and considered Jake as her own son, “Jake na-mi-miss na kita sobra. Anak pa din ang turing ko sa ‘yo. Sorry sa IG kailangan ko lang mamili. Mahal kita alam mo yan,” the message read.

After attending her wake, Ejercito took to social media to honor the memory of Jose, sharing a photograph of her with his daughter, Ellie, reflecting the bond between a grandmother and her granddaughter.

“Of her many iconic roles, being a grandmother was one she cherished the most, especially to Ellie,” Jake noted in his post.

The actor revealed the depth of Jose’s influence on his life, stating, “I surely wouldn’t have survived those early years of fatherhood without your guidance.”

Ejercito shared that together with Jose, they faced numerous challenges, all undertaken for the sake of Ellie.

“You’ve left a void in Ellie’s heart that we could only attempt to fill for the rest of our days. But I’ll give it my best shot and make sure she’ll be ok,” he promised, expressing a determination to continue Jaclyn Jose’s legacy of love and care.

In the last part of his message, Ejercito thanked Jaclyn for everything, emphasizing her special place in Ellie’s heart with, “Maraming salamat sa lahat, tita. You were loved, especially by your Ellie.”

Ellie is Ejercito’s daughter with ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann. Despite their separation, Ejercito and Eigenmann maintain an open line of communication for the sake of co-parenting Ellie.

The family, including Ellie, gathered to pay their respects at Jose’s wake, underlining the deep connections she had forged with those around her.

Jaclyn Jose, born Mary Jane Guck, passed away on March 2 at the age of 60 due to a heart attack, as disclosed by her daughter Andi.

The loss of Jose has left a noticeable void in the Philippine entertainment industry, not just as an award-winning actress recognized globally for her role in “Ma’Rosa,” which earned her the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, but also as a beloved figure in numerous other productions and the hearts of those who knew her personally.

The entertainment community, along with Jose’s fans, continues to mourn the loss of a truly remarkable actress whose legacy, both on-screen and off, will be remembered.
