Korean girl group (G)I-DLE announces September 2022 Manila concert

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — Korean pop girl group (G)I-DLE announces an upcoming concert in Manila this coming September 11, 2022 last Wednesday, May 11. 

They are the first idol act from South Korea to announce plans to perform in the country after two years of restrictions caused by the worldwide experienced COVID-19 pandemic.

The band, consisting of five members, had shared on its social media pages giving announcements regarding their first world tour. The tweet had a photo of their performance information list for the upcoming ‘JUST ME ( )I-DLE’ concert, which will start in Seoul in the following month.

The girl group formed by Cube Entertainment had their debut in 2018 with their single entitled ‘Latata.’ After debuting, they then released numerous hit tracks, which includes “Senorita” (2019), “Dumdi Dumdi” (2020), “Oh My God” (2020), and “Hwaa” (2021).

Moreover, they had a recent release in March on their first album, ‘I Never Die,’ and made it to the top rank in the Korean music charts alongside the lead single “Tomboy.”

Meanwhile, CDM Entertainment, which organized previous fan meetings of Korean actors, announced late Wednesday that they are launching a new show called, Begin Again K-pop Edition (BAKE) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum this coming May 29, 2022.

Korean actors Hwang In-Youp and Kim Soo-Hyun announced their fan meeting in Manila.



Hwang In-Youp, who had a starring role in the 2020 television series “True Beauty,” will have his fan meeting at the New Frontier Theater, located in Quezon City, this coming August 20, 2022.

Kim Soo-Hyun, the lead star who appeared in the Korean series “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” will greet supporters at the Mall of Asia Arena on June 10. The event’s organizer is the clothing brand Bench, which he endorses.

The upcoming visits of international celebrities result from the country easing restrictions on travel and live concerts after the declined COVID-19 cases. – WhatALife!
