MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Romeo Pastrana, 63 years old and popularly known as the comedian, Dagul, shares his emotional life experiences after his showbiz life during an interview with Ogie Diaz.

Dagul emotionally shares his struggles and current situation during his interview with Ogie Diaz on Monday, March 21.

The comedian shared his financial struggles and difficulty in adjusting to his physical state, which is not being able to walk.

Pastrana was born and diagnosed with dwarfism. He is a married man and has four children. The Filipino actor and politician was formerly part of the children’s television show ‘Goin’ Bulilit,’ which ended in the year 2019.

During the interview, he stated that he is currently working as the head of the command center at their barangay hall. 

“Sa ngayon medyo mahirap kasi nga iba ‘yung sa showbiz ka, iba ‘yung nagtatrabaho ka. Kasi kapag empleyado ka ganun lang talaga kinikita mo at saka hindi naman ganun kalaki kasi sa barangay ang ibinibigay honoraria lang,” Pastrana said.

“Binubuhat ako ng anak ko para pumasok sa opisina namin.” 

Pastrana now has limited work opportunities. Aside from his dwarfism, he is now a person with a disability since he cannot walk by himself. He also mentions that because of his disability, his children carry him to his work every day.

On Pastrana’s rest days, he helps in their family’s small sari-sari store business.

However, their combined income is not enough to help and sustain them from their needs and expenses.

Pastrana created a YouTube channel together with his daughter, J-Khriez, who was also born with dwarfism. 

He said during his interview about his hopes about the platform to be the way for him to bring back his passion for entertaining people. – WhatALife!
