COVID-19 vaccination of general population, 18+ to begin in Cagayan de Oro

Cagayan de Oro. Philippines — COVID-19 vaccination of the general adult population will begin in Cagayan de Oro City starting Tuesday, October 12.

The government has so far only prioritized the COVID-19 vaccination of health workers (A1), senior citizens (A2), persons with comorbidities (A3), economic frontliners (A4), and indigent citizens (A5). Opening to the general population means including those under the priority groups B and C.

Moreover, the local government of Cagayan de Oro will open its barangay-based vaccination sites from October 12-15, located at Bugo Elementary School, COC Senior High School, Lumbia Elementary School, and Tablon Elementary School.

Local officials urged nearby residents to visit and partake in the vaccination program and bring at least one (1) valid identification card. –
