The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Wednesday to start producing the official ballots for the May 2022 polls early next week.

In a virtual press briefing, Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said they are estimating to complete the final ballot faces, including the definitive list of candidates, by January 15. The poll body will then print by January 17, in coordination with the National Printing Office (NPO).

He said the ballot faces will be uploaded on their website.

Meanwhile, overseas Filipino voters will be the first to vote in next year’s polls, a month ahead of the voting in the country. However, they will only be allowed to vote for candidates in national positions. – WhatALife.ph
