Captain America star Chris Evans is now married to Portuguese actress Alba Baptista on September 9 in an intimate ceremony at a private residence in Massachusetts. The guests also had to sign NDAs and give up their phones to ensure the secrecy of the event.
Evans, 42, and Baptista 26, finally tied the knot in front of their respective families and friends, including several stars from the Marvel superhero films such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner, according to Page Six, which first reported the news.
Recently, the aforementioned stars were spotted near Boston along with wives Susan Downey and Elsa Pataky, Hemsworth’s wife.
Page Six described the wedding as “beautiful” and that the couple were “in love” and “happy.”
The couple had been dating for over a year before they got married, according to a source who spoke to People in November 2022. Apparently, the couple’s relationship was described as “serious” and that Evans’ family and friends “adore” Baptista.
Their romance first sparked when they were spotted walking together in New York City.
However, in January, the Avengers actor finally made their relationship official on Instagram after posting a video montage of the couple pranking each other repeatedly by sneaking up on one another and shouting “babe” or “baby.” Evans’ dog Dodger also made an appearance.
The following month, the actor posted a series of pictures and videos of him and Baptista in honor of Valentine’s Day.
Evans also shared that he introduced the video game Mario Bros 3 to Baptista after a clip of the actress playing the vintage Nintendo video game.
“She hates this video but I LOVE it.” Evans captioned.
In April, the couple attended the premiere of his new film Ghosted, although the couple did not pose for photos together. Also, the two have yet to be photographed.
Earlier this year, while the two have never shared their plans to marry in public, Chris did hint about another hope for the future.
“I would love to have kids. But having a dog is certainly a good litmus test of how you handle responsibility.” the actor told E! News.
