CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, PHILIPPINES — The city established the Funeral Home and Mortuary at the Bolonsiri’s CMP (City Memorial Park), previously known as the Bolonsiri cemetery site, in Barangay Camaman-an, to provide for those who can’t afford private services.
On Friday, October 28, 2022, City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy led the blessing ceremony of the CMP, which covers commercial spaces, six viewing chapels, and three new funeral hearses.
Among the services of CMP are cheap and new viewing chapels, funeral hearses, and crematoriums that people can try especially for those who cannot afford private funeral home services.
The CMP which was started by former Mayor Oscar Moreno was also supported by Mayor Uy who was happy to give a decent funeral and burial to departed loved ones of families who struggle financially.
Digital online burial booking at the CMP
Launched on the same day, the families of the departed now have the convenience of putting their loved ones to rest through the launch of digital online burial booking at the CMP.
The digital online burial booking is just one of the services currently offered at the CMP.
CLENRO (City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office) head Engineer Armen Cuenca gave a speech in the opening ceremony. In his message, he expressed his gratitude to Mayor Uy for continuing the Cemetery Redevelopment Project.
The Cemetery Redevelopment Project was a project of the previous administration and was started during the administration of former City Mayor Oscar Moreno. The CMP is under the supervision of the CLENRO.
Cuenca also assured the people of the CMP’s compliance with all the requirements of DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) and DOH (Department of Health). The City Memorial Park also has a temporary permit for the operation of its crematorium.
“Ang atong menteryo publiko sa Bolonsiri, first time nga duna tay permit to operate from the Department of Health,” Cuenca said.
(Our public cemetery in Bolonsiri is the first to have a permit to operate from the Department of Health.)
