News of Andre Braugher’s death rocked numerous fans worldwide with his abrupt passing. His publicist just revealed the actor’s cause of death: lung cancer.
Andre Braugher is an actor known for his roles in Brooklyn 99 as Captain Raymond Holt and in Homicide: Life on the Street as Detective Frank Pembleton. The actor also had a brief stint in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit as Attorney Bayard Ellis.
Numerous fans expressed shock at the news of the actor’s death since there was no previous news about his battle with lung cancer. The actor was just sixty-one years old.
Andre’s Brooklyn 99 (B99) co-stars took to social media to express their sentiments regarding the actor. Most of his B99 co-stars shared how much he loved to sing and set and how they would forever bring the wisdom he shared with them.
Terry Crews, who plays Lieutenant Terry Jeffords shared a photo of Andre on Instagram with the caption, “Can’t believe you’re gone so soon. I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you, and shared eight glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent. This hurts, you left us too soon. You taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you. Thank you for your wisdom, your advice, your kindness, and your friendship. Andre’s publicist just recently confirmed that the actor died of lung cancer. Andre Braugher was just diagnosed with the illness a few months ago.
There still aren’t numerous reports on his battle with the life-threatening disease. Cancer is known to kill multiple people in a year and can take form in numerous shapes, attacking various parts of the body.
The actor still has two projects to premiere as a voice actor in Scoob!: Holiday Haunt and a Netflix miniseries, The Residence, are still in production.
