MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Bianca Umali features her grandmother in her latest vlog sharing her Mama V’s contribution in her early years in showbiz.

Bianca is a 22 years old Filipina actress, dancer, and commercial model. She is an artist from GMA Artist Center and Network who has recently started vlogging on Youtube.

In her new Youtube vlog, she reminisces her old memories with her grandmother, Mama V, during their question-and-answer portion. There, she asks:

“What is your most memorable experience with me?”

Her grandmother shares the moment where she accompanies Bianca to GMA Network for her taping in Tropang Potchi by taking a train and riding a jeepney to take her granddaughter to their destination.

“Yung kinakasama kitang hinahatid doon sa GMA. Sumasakay tayo sa MRT. Nag je-jeep kami para lang pumunta sa GMA kasi meron siyang taping sa potchi.”

(When I was taking you to GMA. We rode on the MRT. We take the jeep just so we can reach GMA because she has a taping with [Tropang] Potchi.”

The Kapuso actress also mentioned in her vlog on how her clothes come from the wet market, and some are from the sponsors she gets.

“Dati yung mga damit natin dati galing palengke, siguro dalawa or tatlo lang sapatos ko noon tapos sila iba iba ang kulay.” 

(Before, our clothes came from the market, I think I only had two to three shoes with different colors then.)

She recalls their experience of going to the mall and asks for store managers’ phone numbers to contact them for a possible sponsorship of clothes.

“Naalala ko pumunta tayo sa mall tapos pumasok tayo isa isa sa mga store tapos nagtatanong tayo ng mga number ng manager tapos tinatanong mo kung puwede nila ako sponsoran.”

(I remember we went to the mall and we visited each store, requesting the number of the managers to ask them if they could sponsor me.)

Bianca Umali’s parents passed away when she was ten years old due to illness of breast cancer and heart attack.

“Kung hindi dahil sa tiyaga mo (If it wasn’t for your hard work) I wouldn’t be where I am now,” the actress said to her grandmother as an expression of gratitude for her sacrifices and support. – WhatALife!
