The once-hostile Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto were seen joking together at the tribute party for seasoned show business legend Johnny Manahan, proving that time truly heals all wounds.
One @peachypeachy888 on Tiktok captured Barretto and Alonzo engaging during the Manahan’s Night of 100 Stars celebration on camera. The now-deleted video also featured the actresses smiling while sipping wine; Barretto even gripped Alonzo’s wrist before she burst into laughter once more.
At one point, Darren Espanto handed Barretto a shot of alcohol before chatting with Alonzo again. The video has since been reuploaded on social media.
Many fans were excited to see Barretto and Alonzo appearing to be on good terms again, years after they were involved in a public spat over Gerald Anderson, who’s now in a relationship with the “Expensive Candy” star. Before Barretto, Anderson used to be Alonzo’s boyfriend.

The star-studded event was also attended by Heart Evangelista, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Kathryn Bernardo, Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Piolo Pascual, and Claudine Barretto, to name a few.
The spat between Barretto and Alonzo began after the latter said Anderson broke up with her after he “started not talking to her” in a 2019 interview, and posted a cryptic message about betrayal on Instagram. This, too, after a netizen said he saw Barretto and Anderson together at an event months after filming their movie “Between Maybes.”
Barretto then accused Alonzo of causing “everyone to destroy [Barretto]” for herself and of transforming her sadness into a “national concern” as a result.
The rumors finally came to an end when Anderson declared in March 2021 that he was seeing Barretto and that he hadn’t ghosted Alonzo. Although Alonzo put off her wedding to Dominic Roque in February 2024, the couple is still together today.
