SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — On Day 1 of Netflix’s Geeked Week, the international streaming platform confirmed Season 2 of one of their top non-English shows, All Of Us Are Dead.
Netflix announced the news through a video posted on their official Youtube account. See the quick teaser video below:
Lead stars also confirmed the second season through a quick video. The concept is a parody of each person taking a video of themselves and giving their own messages, one of the heart-breaking scenes in the series where each character gives their messages to loved ones.
No further details have been made about All Of Us Are Dead Season 2, but the video confirmed that Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun and Lomon, the main actors, will be in the series.
Based on Korean webtoon “Now at Our School” by Joo Dong-geun, All Of Us Are Dead has taken the attention of the international scene after the worldwide success of the Korean series Squid Game.
All Of Us Are Dead quick recap
Now that Season 2 is on the way let’s take a quick recap of Season 1.
The 12 episodes revolve around high school students trapped inside their school and surrounded by zombies. The event began due to an experiment gone wrong by a teacher who wanted to look for a way to protect his child from bullies by making him stronger.
The group tried to leave the school while also battling internal pressure and tension. Season 1 ended with only six survivors Nam On-jo (Ji-hu Park), Lee Cheong-san (Chan-Young Yoon), Lee Su-Hyeok (Park Solomon), Choi Nam-Ra (Hyun Cho), Song Jae-il (Kyoo-Hyung Lee), and Yoon Gwi-Nam (In-soo Yoo).
While there are those that turn completely into zombies after infection, there are those with genes that adapt and become half-zombie, such as the class president Choi Nam-Ra.
Despite surviving and finding their way to rescue, the show still ended in a cliffhanger, with the fate of Nam-Ra as a half-zombie left alone at the school unknown. – WhaALife!
