The approved resolution endorses and interposes no objection to the holding of limited face-to-face classes in private and public schools, provided that these institutions comply with the requirements outlined by City Mayor X or the Covid-19 Task Force.

As of the school year 2021-2022, the resolution might also cover the commencement, moving-up, and graduation ceremonies of the schools that are in the listed educational institutions.

During an iFM CDO interview with City Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya, he stated that it is not an ordinance but only a resolution for the given courtesy of the establishments to the City Council.

The city’s Covid-19 cases monitoring is showing that the positive cases are decreasing, which indicates that the people should fear no more and must allow the kids to learn in a school setting.

Nacaya also talked about the allotted budgets to fund the employees who are working beyond their working hours to extend their services.

According to him, the city’s budget for the funding is not that huge. However, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) regulations allow them to give employees commensurate for the extra service they offer. – WhatALife!
