CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, PHILIPPINES — The return of the ‘face-to-face’ MFS (Mindanao Fashion Summit) on August 20, Saturday, at the Centrio Ayala Mall Activity Center was a success through the hard work of the OFDG (Oro Fashion Designers Guild).
The 11th edition of the event showcases the latest creations of the city’s top fashion designers. The show is one of the Higalaay Festival core events that the people will attend. Miss Intercontinental 2021, Cindy Obeñita, also participated in the event.
Under the administration of Mayor Klarex Uy, the local government conveyed its support through the message of Higalaay Festival Committee Chairperson Eileen San Juan.
During the fashion show, 14 OFDG members displayed various design collections using fabrics from local producers in Mindanao. Among the pride of the event are the designs of the Designers’ Assembly, which is made up of five members who are ‘junior members’ of OFDG.
This year’s fashion summit offered five colorful segments; Mindanaoan Collection, Menswear Collection, Designers’ Assembly, LGBTQIA Show, and Holiday Collection.
