PAGASA: No LPAs or Tropical Storms, two weather systems still affecting the country

weather-update-november-8-2022

WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the shear line is affecting the eastern section of Luzon, while the Easterlies are affecting the rest of the country.

The Pagasa is not monitoring any weather disturbances or LPA (Low-Pressure Area) that could become a storm, so the PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) will be fine in the next three to five days. The chances of a tropical disturbance may remain low until the weekend.

Today, due to the shear line affecting Eastern Luzon, the areas from Batanes to the Bicol region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Said areas may expect rainy weather with a high chance of rain showers.

Meanwhile, the Easterlies, the winds from the Pacific Sea, are affecting the rest of the country.

Maliit parin yung chansa na magkaroon tayo ng bagyo up to the weekend, pero ngayong November, inaasahan parin nating dalawa hanggang apat na bagyo ang maaaring pumasok o mabuo sa loob ng Philippine Area of Responsibility,” said PAGASA Weather Forecaster Obet Badrina.

(There is still little chance that we will have a storm up to the weekend, but this November, we still expect two to four storms that may enter or form within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.)

WEATHER TODAY – November 8, 2022
