WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored has been spotted 295 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Meanwhile, the shear line continues to affect Eastern Visayas.
The weather agency reports the LPA has a low chance of turning into a tropical storm within the next 24 hours. However, the combined effect of the weather system and the shear line will bring rain cloudy skies, isolated rain showers, and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The Northeast Monsoon, or Amihan, also continues to affect the eastern section of Luzon.
