WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during strong thunderstorms.

Tropical Depression “GARDO” was estimated based on all available data at 1,140 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (20.2°N, 132.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving Northeastward at 10 km/h.

Meanwhile, the Super Typhoon “HINNAMNOR” is located 1,170 KM East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (26.3N, 131.6E) with maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h. It is moving Northeastward at 30 km/h.

“… at sa kasalukuyan ay wala itong direct effect sa ating bansa. Samantala, si Super Typhoon Hinnamnor naman na nasa labas pa ng ating area of responsibility… sa kasalukuyan ay wala rin itong direct effect pa sa ano mang bahagi ng ating bansa,” PAGASA forecaster Grace Castañeda said. 

([TD Gardo] as of now has no direct effect on our country. Meanwhile, the Super Typhoon Hinnamnor that is still outside our area of responsibility… as of now, also has no direct effect yet in any part of our country.)

Winds will be light to moderate throughout Northern and Central Luzon, moving northeast to northwest, and coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Winds will also be light to moderate in the rest of the country, moving from the northwest to the southwest. Additionally, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
