The Science & Technology (S&T) Undergraduate Program, under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), aims to entice talented Filipino youths to pursue lifelong productive careers in the field of science and technology.

This program would ensure a steady and adequate supply of qualified S&T professionals, steering the country towards scientific and technological advancements. Aspiring students can choose between the scholarship programs RA 7687 scholarship or the DOST-SEI Merit. Republic Act No. 7687, also known as the “Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994,” offers scholarships to gifted and deserving students whose families’ socio-economic status do not exceed that set cut-off values of certain indicators. Once deemed qualified, students must pursue priority fields of study, including the basic sciences, engineering, other applied sciences, and science and mathematics teachings. The DOST_SEI Merit Scholarship Program, on the other hand, is awarded to students with exceptional aptitude in science and mathematics, as well as those who are willing to pursue careers in the fields of science and technology.
