In a recent vlog by celebrity doctor Vicki Belo, Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo shared and expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of becoming a mother with her husband, Matteo Guidicelli.
While the actress-singer is enthusiastic about starting a family, she acknowledged having “fears” and “doubts” regarding motherhood.
When asked about her plans for having a baby, Geronimo responded, “Kung ano po, kung ibibigay naman ni Lord” (Whatever the Lord gives).
She conveyed her excitement about the idea of being a mom but also admitted to having concerns, stating, “May mga fears, ganyan, pero kung ibibigay ni Lord, so be it” (I have some fears, but if it’s what the Lord wills, so be it).
Sarah reflected on her feelings, “Madami [akong fears]. Syempre, equipped, really equipped to be a mother.” She emphasized her late-bloomer status and the doubts that may arise but expressed acceptance if it aligns with God’s plan.
This revelation follows Matteo Guidicelli’s earlier statement expressing his readiness to start a family.
In a December 2023 interview, he mentioned their hopeful plans for 2024 and beyond, saying, “I guess for 2024 and in the future sana mag-baby na kami. In God’s time.” Guidicelli acknowledged the unpredictable nature of family planning, emphasizing the importance of placing trust in God’s plan.
Matteo, who sees his priorities lying with his wife and family, mentioned the uncertainties that come with planning and the need for reliance on divine blessings. “Whatever comes, whatever happens, happens. Let’s just pray for that,” he remarked.
Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli officially confirmed their relationship in 2014 and announced their engagement in 2019.
Geronimo and Guidicelli married in a secretly make ceremony in February 2020.
Meanwhile, Geronimo made history by being the first Filipina to earn the Global Force Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.
