HOLYWOOD, USA — Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first look of Ryan Gosling’s Ken on Twitter early today, June 16.
The post surprised the fans who expressed their excitement for the movie set to release next year, July 21, 2023.
The first official photo shows Gosling with Ken’s signature beach-blond hair and spray-tan body.
The Canadian actor sports an all-denim outfit, showing his abs under a sleeveless jean vest and his underwear band printed with “Ken.”
The photo also shows a Pepto-Bismol pink backdrop, a clear indication of the Barbie theme.
The 41-year-old heartthrob will star alongside Margot Robbie, the titular character, in the doll-inspired live-action film.
Robbie’s first exclusive look as Barbie was posted last April, with the actress posing in character with a bubblegum pink convertible.
There’s yet to be any information known about the plot of the movie directed by Greta Gerwig.
However, some of the star-studded cast has been shared with the public, including comedians Issa Rae and Will Ferrel, rising stars Hari Nef and Ncuti Gatwa, and Shang-Chi star, Simu Liu.
It’s rumored that some of the cast members will be playing alternate versions of Barbie and Ken.
When asked about the film, Liu promised that it would be “wild.”
“I wish I could just show you what we do day-to-day because it’s crazy,” he said in an interview with GQ in May.
Lead star Robbie also told The Holywood Reporter back in December that the movie will be nothing fans will expect.
“Our goal is to be like, ‘Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different — the thing you didn’t know you wanted,’” she teased. – WhatALife!
