MANILA, Philippines – Veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez died on Sunday confirmed by Quezon City Police District with the cause of death not yet disclosed.

Over the course of nearly five decades, Ronaldo Valdez established himself as one of the Philippines’ most dependable and beloved actors in both the film and television realms. 

His adaptability rises through in his diverse performances, seamlessly transitioning between comedic and dramatic roles, as well as portraying characters ranging from fatherly figures to antagonists.

With a remarkable six-decade-long presence in showbiz, Valdez’s final acting stint was in the popular teleserye “2 Good 2 Be True,” where he played the role of “Lolo Sir” alongside stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. 



Actress Kathryn Bernardo also posted some video clips and images of Ronaldo Vladez in her Instagram story.

In a memorable event last September, he was seen gracing the premiere night of Kathryn’s film “A Very Good Girl,” making a stylish entrance on an electric scooter.

Ronaldo Valdez was celebrated for his impactful roles in movies such as “Seven Sundays,” “Labs Kita Okay Ka Lang,” and “The Mistress,” among other notable works. 

His legacy extends beyond his own achievements, as his children, actor, singer-songwriter, and comedian Janno Gibbs, as well as Melissa Gibbs followed in his footsteps, contributing to the entertainment industry.
