USA — Ray Stevenson, an actor known for his roles in “Punisher: War Zone,” “Thor,” “Rome,” and upcoming Star Wars Series “Ahsoka” has died.
The 58-year-old actor recently died on Sunday, May 21, in Italy. The cause of death has not been disclosed, but he was reportedly hospitalized during filming on the Italian island of Ischia.
Back in April, at a Star Wars event, Stevenson shared his excitement about playing Baylan Skoll, a Force user who wields the orange lightsaber. The trailer for “Ahsoka” shows Baylan fighting Ahsoka as well as other Rebel Forces.
Stevenson was also excited to use a lightsaber for scenes. He shared that when filming and training for his scenes on set, he couldn’t help but pinch himself, saying, “I’m actually doing this. If you’re gonna give me a lightsaber, I’m gonna use it.”
