MANILA, Philippines – The Star Cinema blockbuster movie ‘A Very Good Girl,’ featuring actresses Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly De Leon, is now available on Netflix.

Supporters of Bernardo and De Leon showed their enthusiasm for the film, propelling #AVeryGoodGirl to the top of trending topics on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
The movie ‘A Very Good Girl’ has achieved a significant milestone in the Philippine film industry by reaching the P100 million mark in box office revenue. The film’s success extends beyond local borders, with screenings in the United States, the Middle East, and various international locations.
The film’s impressive performance has brought Filipino storytelling to the global stage, reflecting growing recognition and opening new avenues for local actors and filmmakers.
Bernardo expressed her gratitude on Instagram, acknowledging fans and backers for their love and support and attributing the film’s success to their steadfast belief in the industry. Many industry professionals share this positive outlook, viewing the film’s success as a promising sign for future Filipino productions.
Directed by Petersen Vargas, the film also owes its success to a star-studded cast. Notable actors such as Jake Ejercito, Angel Aquino, Chie Filomeno, Donna Cariaga, Gillian Vicencio, Ana Abad Santos, Kaori Oinuma, Althea Ruedas, Nathania Guerrero, and Nour Hooshmand have contributed to the movie’s triumph.
The film, which premiered in the Philippines on September 27, follows the story of virtual assistant Mercy Novela (Kathryn), who, under the pseudonym Philomena Angeles or Philo, seeks revenge on wealthy CEO Molly Suzara (Dolly) after being fired years ago. As Philo systematically eliminates the people around Mother Molly to draw her in, she begins to question if Mother Molly is truly as she seems.
