The Department of Health (DOH) reported 32,426 new COVID-19 cases in the country on Wednesday, January 12.
In its latest COVID-19 bulletin, the DOH showed that COVID-19 infections active now risen to 208,164. Of the active cases, 197,091 are mild, 2,872 are moderate, 6,435 are asymptomatic, 1,468 are severe, and 298 are critical.
DOH also recorded 5,063 recoveries and 144 news deaths, bringing the total recoveries and deaths to 2,797,816 (91.5%) and 52,654 (1.72%), respectively, since the pandemic started in March 2020.
The regions with the most cases since the start of the year were from the National Capital Region (NCR) with 17,902 (56%), Region 4-A with 6,838 (22%), and Central Luzon with 3,268 (10%). – WhatALife.ph
