Weather Update as of March 2: On Ash Wednesday, easterlies will hit the eastern part of the country, according to PAGASA’s early morning prediction.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies, isolated rainshowers, and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas and Caraga, with probable flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
Due to the easterlies, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly overcast to cloudy sky with isolated rainshowers or localized thunderstorms with probable flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Winds will be moderate in the northern Luzon areas, moving northeastward, and coastal waters will be moderate.
Meanwhile, no Low Pressure Area (LPA) and storm detected outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
