pagasa weather update july 21 2023

WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), at 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area was estimated at 950 km East of Southeastern Luzon based on the information gathered.

Although the LPA does not have any direct effect on the Philippines as of now, on the current update, the Southwest Monsoon will cause heavy rain on the Southwest area of the Philippines. It is expected that the LPA will cause a typhoon but not any time soon as of yet.

Weather Today – July 21, 2023

MIMAROPA and Western Visayas weather conditions will be cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon, which may affect the area with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains that may occur from the weather.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. These are caused by the LPA and localized thunderstorms in surrounding areas of the country. Weathers may cause possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The Northern and Western sections of Luzon will have light to moderate wind speeds directed from Southwest to Southeast with normal coastal conditions. The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate wind speeds directed from Northeast to Northwest, and Visayas and Mindanao winds directed from Southwest to Northwest at a regular speed with normal coastal water conditions.
