WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Southwest Monsoon will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with thunderstorms.
Wind speeds in Luzon will be normal to moderate speeds directed from Southwest to West, with the coastal waters being in normal condition as well (1.2 to 2.5 meters). Visayas and Mindanao will also be having light to moderate wind speeds directed Southwest, with its coastal waters being at slight to moderate levels (0.6 to 2.1 meters).

Visayas, MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and BARMM will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by Southwest Monsoon impacting areas with possible flooding or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains. According to the weather graph, there may be light thunderstorms in several areas of Mindanao and Visayas.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms impacting areas with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Although Southwest Monsoon may cause rain, the majority of the weather in the listed areas will be normal and sunny until late afternoon.
PAGASA has not issued any gale warnings as there are only light to moderate southwesterly to westerly surface wind flow prevailing over most of the forecast area. All shipping zones will have cloudy skies and scattered rain showers with thunderstorms but the sea conditions will remain moderate, with wind speeds not being very strong. – WhatALife!/Zain
