WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao that will be causing heavy rainfall in the areas that were listed.

General flood advisories were given in certain areas and cities due to the effects of ITCZ coming from the Northern and Southern hemisphere by PAGASA. The western section of the country will be experiencing light to moderate speed for winds directed from Southwest to South. Coastal water conditions will be moderate, with 0.6 to 2.1 meters of height. 

Weather Today – June 16, 2023

Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, and northern Mindanao will have cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ, which may affect the given areas with flash floods or landslides due to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also be experiencing cloudy skies with rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ and Localized Thunderstorms that could affect the areas with flash floods or landslides due to the heavy thunderstorm.



PAGASA has issued Tropical Cyclone Warnings for certain areas.
