WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the Southwest monsoon will affect Luzon’s western section, causing rain showers and thunderstorms.
With generally fair weather across the country, Northern Luzon and Visayas will experience mostly rainy weather with heavy thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience fair weather, raining around late afternoon or evening.
Weather Today – June 30, 2023
Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and the northern portion of Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon again, impacting the areas with flash floods or landslides caused by the heavy rains that the areas will be expecting. Cautionary actions are advised for people living in accident-prone areas.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. That is also caused by the Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms from other areas. Although weather will be generally fair in these areas, there may be thunderstorms during late afternoon or evening, making it prone to flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal water conditions will be normal as winds directed from Southwest to South will be over Luzon and Visayas, and Mindanao will have winds directed from Southeast to South.
PAGASA has not released any gale warnings or flood warnings today. Floods will not be possible in certain Northern and Central Luzon areas.
The specific areas are:
- Cordillera Administrative Region
- Ilocos Region
- Central Luzon
- Calabarzon
- MIMAROPA
