New York City, New York — Madonna was found unresponsive and was rushed to New York City hospital on Saturday.

Madonna is recovering from a serious health scare after landing in ICU over the weekend. The 64-year-old’s world tour is going to be rescheduled after this incident.

Guy Oseary, Madonna’s manager, released a statement on Madonna developing a bacterial infection.

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU,” he wrote on his social media post. “Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time, we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

There was also news that the 64-year-old singer was intubated for at least one night before removing the tube, and she is now recovering.

Earlier in the year, Madonna announced that she would launch her “Celebration” tour honoring the 40th anniversary of her music career.

The tour was set to go across Europe on October 14 before returning to North America on December 13 and running through January 30, 2024.

Madonna promised to perform her greatest hits from 1983 through her 2019 album.

“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna shared in January. – WhatALife!/Zain
