Classes have been canceled today, Thursday, August 3, due to bad weather in several municipalities and provinces.
Classes will be suspended in all levels of public and private schools in Manila on August 3 in accordance with the recommendation of the Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and Manila Police District.
Due to strong winds, high tides, and flooding on many roads, the MDRRMO has suggested cancellation of classes in several municipalities. Classes in Caloocan have been recommended to cancel by Caloocan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO).
Classes in Navotas City have also been canceled due to heavy rain, high tide, and flooding on roads.
In Baguio, Mayor Nemjamiin Magalong canceled all classes from pre-school, elementary, and high school on public and private levels because of the heavy rainfall that is being caused by the southwest monsoon.
Due to the weather, schools in the following areas have been canceled on August 3, 2023.
- Malabon City – all levels of public and private institutes
- Manila – all levels of public and private institutes
- Navotas – all levels of public and private institutes
- Caloocan – all levels of public and private institutes
- Baguio City – preschool to high school level in public and private institutes
- Lingayen, Pangasinan – all levels of public and private institutes
- Dagupan City – all levels of public and private institutes
