The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) was a night to remember, with over 20 performances packed into the show held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on September 12. Hosted by the prominent Nicki Minaj for her second consecutive year in this role, it was also notably the first time the ceremony took place on a Tuesday, adding a unique twist to the event.

Some of the MTV VMAs 2023 winners included the iconic Shakira, who received the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, while Diddy was honored with the Global Icon Award, celebrating their remarkable contributions to the music industry.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift emerged as the night’s biggest VMAs 2023 winner, taking home nine awards out of eleven nominations, showcasing her dominance in the music industry.

The VMAs featured an array of sensational performances with artists representing various countries, including the United States, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Italy, South Korea, and Trinidad and Tobago. 



Additionally, what made this year’s VMAs even more special was the surprise appearance of *NSYNC, reuniting on stage for the first time since their 2013 VMAs performance. Rumors circulated that the group is working on new music for the third installment of the “Trolls” film franchise. Moreover, highly anticipated actress and singer Selena Gomez made a remarkable return, gracing the VMAs stage for the first time since 2015.

The VMA livestream was broadcast simultaneously on multiple networks, ensuring it reached a broad audience. For cable-cutters, platforms like DirecTV and Paramount+ provided the option to stream the event live.
