MORESCO POWER RATES UPDATE: Due to the reduction in the variable cost of independent power producers (IPP) and suppliers, as well as the huge reduction in commercial rates in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) here in Mindanao, MORESCO-1 says the billing month of August 2023 for residential consumers is less compared to a few monthly electricity prices which is at Php11.2982 /kWh.
That is also why there is a consumption value of Php1.1993/KWH for residential customers also brought to:
1) Generation Rate value (Php1.0463/kWh) and,
2) System Loss Rate (Php0.1400/kWh)
Additionally, although there is an increase in the Transmission Rate value of Php0.0665/kWh, MORESCO-1 says all these resulted in their effective Php11.2982/kWh residential consumer rate.
Currently, the tariff for their gray consumers are specified below:
Low Voltage Consumers – Low Voltage has a total consumption value of 1.1762 with an effective rate value of Php10.3578 / kWh. (Low Voltage Consumers refers to small commercial, street lights, and some other public buildings)
High Voltage Consumers – High Voltage has a total consumption value of 0.9883 and has an effective rate value of Php 10.0826/ kWh. (High Voltage Consumers refers to large commercial and special industrial loads)
MORESCO-1 reminds their consumers to not be delayed in paying monthly electricity bill as they have started the “One Month Disconnection Policy”.
