The comedian, known for her victory in the 2010 ABS-CBN reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up,” underwent a glamorous transformation as she posed for the pages of the popular local fashion magazine.
Supporters and friends of Cantiveros couldn’t overlook the striking similarity between her and Rihanna, the internationally acclaimed artist recognized for chart-toppers like “Umbrella” and “We Found Love.”

“Ang mga pangarap ko binase ko sa itsura ko. So, parang nag-pass-by na [ang pagiging artista] sa mga pangarap ko,” she said.
She thought of settling or becoming a housewife or a cashier before joining “Pinoy Big Brother”.
Despite the significant changes that occurred in her life following her viral success, Melai feels an immense sense of gratitude and a pleasantly overwhelming sensation when reflecting on her life before entering the world of showbiz.
“Nami-miss ko yung time na [lagi ko’ng] kasama ang pamilya ko. Yung kaguluhan, yung paunahan kami sa pagkain. Noon talaga nagkakaubusan kami. Pero ngayon, thank you Lord, kahit papaano [hindi na kami nagkakaubusan],” Melai said.
