HOLYWOOD, U.S.A. — On Tuesday, the 2023 GRAMMY nominees were revealed, and some of the year’s best musicians and performances were included.
The nominees were announced live from the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, which featured special guests Smokey Robinson, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Cyndi Lauper, and Recording Academy president and C.E.O. Harvey Mason Jr.
Following The Weeknd’s harsh accusations in front of a large audience last May, the GRAMMY Awards selection method was changed. As a result, the program no longer selects its nominees using anonymous review committees. However, notable artists like Drake and Silk Sonic also decided not to submit their most recent works for deliberation this year.
