Last night, April 12, a document titled Memorandum Circular no. 43 circulated via online conversations, with the letterhead of the Office of the President of the Philippines allegedly declaring a half day work and class suspension in all public schools, state universities, and colleges beginning at 12 p.m. today, April 13, 2022 – Holy Wednesday.
This document is FAKE.
Based on the report, the document was edited. The date of the claimed suspension is written in a different font style in the first paragraph of the paper. The stated memo numbered 43 was first published on March 28, 2018.
The date, day, and year were changed from the original issuance in 2018 to 2022 to make it appear more relevant.
